The Hodgenville Police Department looks for every opportunity to facilitate community interaction and relationships. The Citizens Police Academy (CPA) is an opportunity for citizens to gain insight into the daily functions and responsibilities of our law enforcement personnel. It also provides our community with knowledge into the Hodgenville Police Department’s purpose, practices, and services. 

Topics presented during CPA include:

  • Policing Overview / History
  • Criminal Procedures
  • K-9 Operations
  • Discussions of Firearms/Use of Force
  • DUI Investigation
  • Our Police Social Work program
  • Traffic Stops
  • Support Services and Community Partners

Plus anything a particpant might want to inquire/know about- we are open to suggestions!
