Returning back to school is something that can be exciting, but can also trigger feelings of anxiety for some of us as well. What will the new year hold? What will be different?

Here are some more things that can help put you ahead so you can stay ahead in school:

  1.  Take advantage of the free breakfast that is provided at the schools! Breakfast truly is the most important meal of the day! Studies show that students who eat a good breakfast every morning are more alert and perform better than those who do not!
  2. SLEEP! Make sure that you are getting a good night's rest every night.  Studies show that getting at least 8 hours of sleep every night can make you more alert and productive for the school day. Catch some ZZZZZs!
  3. Take advantage of any free or down time at school to get some studying and homework done! Do more at school and you'll have less to do at home!
  4. Get involved! Take advantage of the clubs, sports teams, and activities that the schools have to offer! School is a time to make friends and try new things, but it's also a place to learn skills like organization and decision-making that will come in handy for the rest of your life.
